Technical notes
Impact absorption
The soft rail that takes the drop. TPU is elastic enough to spread corner impact and grippy enough to hold the case in the hand. In every layered construction in the catalog it is the part in contact with the phone.
Surface processes
How decoration is applied, and what each process can and cannot hold.
Direct, cured, full-colour
Ink is jetted directly onto the panel and cured under UV light in the same pass. It is the base process behind almost every design in the catalog, and it is what makes short runs of a custom artwork economically sensible.
Metallic leaf over print
A metallic layer applied over or under the printed graphic. Against a dark ground it reads as struck metal; against glass it reads as depth. Eleven families in the catalog are built on it.
Built-up relief
Height built up on the surface so the design can be felt as well as seen. The catalog runs it from a light tactile relief up to the 3D high-relief armour families, and in a dual-layer version.
Mirror-bright metal shell
A plated shell or insert, used on the carbon-fibre, resin-coated and mirror armour families. The dual-layer armour construction is quoted as available in custom plating colours or soft-touch coating.
Cut into the material
Used on the silicone families. Because the mark is cut into the material rather than laid on top, it cannot rub off — the trade-off is that it is monochrome by nature.
Graphic sealed inside the part
The printed film is placed in the tool and the part is moulded around it, so the graphic ends up inside the wall rather than on it. The catalog specifies an abrasion-resistant PET film and describes the finish as colour-stable.

Magnet strength quoted here is taken directly from the CHIKISS price list. Ring geometry and pull force should be confirmed per project.
